I appreciate what you've said here...I am so list oriented! There's nothing like crossing off my accomplishments, big or small. Im working on being OK when I'm not productive, too. I discovered that my self worth should not be tied to how much I got done. Still, it's a hard feeling to get over when you've spent a lifetime trying to accomplish success on the job, or even in the gym! :)

I hear you Susan. It’s a balancing act for me. I love tracking and data. It was my career before I retired. But more importantly, I want to be fit so I can keep hiking, maybe not mountains but gentle trails in the English countryside make my heart sing.

Beautiful. Someday, I'll get to England... I traced my ancestors to Nottinghamshire! Genealogy has been time consuming but great fun! 👍

I am fortunate my daughter is now London based so we try to get over most years from Oz. I am 6th generation Aussie from first fleet convict stock - but I still can't go back and live there easily.

Thanks for the shoutout! I track but I’ve also leaned to forgive myself and start again when I miss a day. The starting again is the hard part!

I know what you mean Cindy. Some of my tracked habits are non-negotiable but some are 'miss a day here and there is OK'

Wow, you have an impressive 'track' record with tracking! I love my FitBit, just for tracking my steps. It definitely encourages me to hit my target each day and I have found myself marching around the house if I haven't reached it. I love that you walk the airplane aisles!

Robyn, I love creating habits. Then I know what I expect of myself and I don't feel the day is complete until I've taken care of the habit. I'm currently working on my eating and exercise habits. It's amazing how quickly they become ingrained.

Thanks for the shout-out, too.

I love that idea Susan ‘what I expect of myself’. It is about crafting the person we want to be. And yes, my day is not complete without ticking off habits.
