I am interested in anything that can help "bulletproof" my body. Consistency is the mother of all progress and you can't be consistent if you're sidelined with an injury. Thanks to your glowing recommendation, I'm going to check this book out.

I had those knee niggles too. What fixed it for me was the Knees over Toes program (resources below).

Thanks for writing and sharing, Robyn. This was a lovely read.

Great resources Jack but I couldn't take my eye off the tower behind. Did you go to Pisa especially to photograph the exercises?

Haha writing while travelling can be tough... sometimes you need to squeeze it in where you can. My girlfriend and I spend a day in Pisa while travelling between Florence and the Cinque Terre. We had a few hours between when we arrived and our time slot to go up the tower. I thought it was a pretty cool background and had to get the photos done so just did it there! So more of a happy coincidence than anything :)

Really enjoyed the story and that I can relate to the aches and pains (niggles) as I age too. I'm 49 and feel the joint pains come and go. I take a LOT of collagen and realize that for me it's taking away the bad foods, fasting and reducing stress that will help my collagen stay strong.

Lovely to reconnect here on Substack Jason. Do you still post on X? I have put X on hold and come back to Substack as I find the community more personal.

Yep, still on X and posting daily although I'm not doing nearly enough to engage with others to really grow there.

Glad I read this... will absolutely check out the book! Yes, I've hit aging for sure. I'm going to PT soon, and will take things a little less frenetically as I am prone to do. My knee, now that it's been drained from all that goo is feeling much better. I aim to keep it that way! ONWARD! Thanks! ✌️

Robyn, this sounds like a book I need to read. In preparation for retirement I invested my money in writing becasue I knew I wanted to write. Now I am investing in my hips. I was diagnosed with arthritis 20 years ago and as I've aged it has continued to worsen. I've always been a walker, but when stairs started to be a problem I new I need action. I really don't want surgery. So I've invested in an exercixe program run by a PT specifically for women my age with arthritis. I'm building muscle to support my bones and it's working!

I'm all for adding to my chances of improvement.
